Does changing pitch affect the duration?
No. The pitch is changed independently of playback speed, so the duration stays the same.
What is a semitone?
A semitone is the smallest standard musical interval. 12 semitones = one octave. +1 semitone raises pitch by one half-step.
How many semitones can I shift?
Pitch can be shifted from -12 semitones (one octave down) to +12 semitones (one octave up).
Will pitch shifting introduce audio artefacts?
Extreme shifts may introduce subtle artefacts. Shifts within ±6 semitones are generally clean.
